Tsambika Mountain Walk

From the walkway to our hotel room, we had a great view of the hill behind. It is called Tsambika Mountain and sitting on the top of it is a small monastery called Kyra Tsambika.

After another leisurely breakfast, we check out of the hotel and headed into the centre of Rhodes Town. We only had two things to do today. Get some cash from an ATM and get a bus to Kolymbia.

We had a good nights sleep at our accommodation, Galanopetra, and ate our breakfast in the courtyard, sitting in the morning sun.

Rhodes Town - Greece

We caught an early morning flight from Gatwick and arrived on the Island of Rhodes at around midday. We only had carry-on luggage, our rucksacks, so we were quick to leave the aircraft and get through passport control but we still managed to miss the bus to Rhodes Town by ten minutes and would have to wait for another fifty minutes for the next one.

We headed off up the path, at first it was quite overgrown and felt like no-one had walked up here for a long time. The route markers were pretty easy to follow and we had every hope of getting to where we were heading.

Arriving in Athens

Our flight arrived at Athens International Airport on time and before long we were standing in front of the arrivals entrance looking for the bus to the city.
