Let me ask you a question?
Are you tired of being stuck in the office? Bored of being chained to
a desk? Counting down the days until retirement? Always dreaming of that
next adventure?
Me too!!
I love walking, trekking and travelling and have pretty much spent my
life trying to get out in to the hills and mountains whenever I can.
Over the years, I have had some amazing adventures and been to some
fantastic places but like most people, I have to work really hard in
between those adventures in order to finance them.
To help me through those periods of employment, I like to write about
some of the adventures I have had. It helps me to relive those moments
and to retrospectively process the places, people and events that made
those adventures what they were and because I spend much of my working
day writing technical documents it feels good to write something on a
personal level for a change.
I know that there are thousands of bloggers out there. All travelling
around the world for free. Somehow being able to blog for a living.
Wouldn’t that be great? I am not that sort of blogger. I can’t see large
travel companies inviting me on free holidays in the hope that I will
post up a picture of myself in front of their hotel or whatever. I doubt
I will ever be beautiful enough to achieve that!
I will just keep planning new adventures and blogging about my
previous adventures in the hope that some poor souls who are lost on the
internet just happen by and read about them.
If not, then they are just a journal for me to help me remember them
in my old age.
